22 Sep Danish study underway
In the autumn of 2013, two research visits took place in Denmark. One of these was at an innovative and creative school on the outskirts of Copenhagen (Hellerup School). The other was at a radical university in which curriculum, pedagogy and assessment is genuinely student-directed (Roskilde University). At both of these settings, the concepts of FREEDOM and AUTONOMY are intertwined with pedagogy. SPACE is created in which students can learn. At the moment, DATA are being analysed and A CHAPTER written for a new international handbook on alternative education.
