Mexico-UK collaboration to continue

Thanks to British Council funding, a strong collaboration has developed between researchers in Mexico and the UK. An intensive workshop held in Monterrey, Mexico in February 2015, focused on the theme of ‘dialogue and transformative learning in STEM education’, and cemented relationships and inspired new ideas for joint projects.

The event organisers,Dr Juan Manuel Fernandez-Cardenas (Tecnologico de Monterrey) and Dr Catherine Montgomery (University of Hull) (pictured) will lead the collaboration, expected to include publication of a special issue of a journal, new funding bids, and the development of an ongoing international network. It is hoped that some of our Mexican colleagues will come to the UK for an exchange visit in the near future.

Thanks to everyone who organised and participated in the workshop and to the British Council for funding this initiative.
