Still time to sign up for FREE event in Edinburgh, 8 Oct

The next ESRC seminar is on Thursday 8 October in Edinburgh (Scottish Storytelling Centre). It is FREE to attend, and open to teachers, parents, academics, university students, parents, policy makers, educational campaigners, youth workers, and more. If YOU are interested in talking about how we can change education, then this event is for you.

Confirmed speakers are:

Prof Terry Wrigley (co-author: Changing Schools: alternative ways to make a world of difference; Living on the edge: rethinking poverty, class and schooling; Social justice re-examined: dilemmas and solutions for the classroom)

Dr Velda McCune (Deputy Director of the Institute for Academic Development and Head of the Learning and Teaching Team at University of Edinburgh)

Sue Palmer (author: Toxic Childhood: How The Modern World Is Damaging Our Children And What We Can Do About It)

‘The Real’ David Cameron (Educational trainer, consultant, with extensive experience of supporting the development of education in Scotland)

The event is from 12-5pm. As we are at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, please expect a storytelling theme – and come ready to participate and be involved in interesting discussions and debates.

Email C.M.McKinlay@hull.ac.uk to book your place.
